Welcome to Hinchingbrooke Lodge
Who We Are
Hinchingbrooke Lodge No 9282 is a distinguished Masonic Lodge based in Huntingdon, established on 16th July 1988. With a proud history of over three decades, the Lodge has fostered a spirit of brotherhood and community, serving as a key part of the Masonic tradition in the region. Monthly meetings are held at Priory House, Sovereign Business Park, where members gather in an atmosphere of camaraderie and shared purpose.
Each meeting begins with Lodge business, where members engage in discussions relating to the ongoing activities, initiatives, and responsibilities of the Lodge. This time allows for the management of Lodge affairs, ensuring everything operates smoothly and in line with the values of Freemasonry. After the formal business, members come together for a meal, which provides an opportunity to relax, socialize, and strengthen the bonds of friendship that are a core aspect of Masonic life.
Our Values
Charity is at the core of our values, supporting various causes. We embrace individuals from diverse backgrounds, including Armed Forces, professionals, and tradespeople, who share our values of Integrity, Friendship, Respect, and Service.
Integrity
Today’s Freemasons are less focused on constructing physical structures and more dedicated to constructing themselves as individuals of strong character and integrity. Membership offers the framework and guidance necessary for personal growth and the development of these key values.
Friendship
Masonry is a centuries-old tradition that emphasizes personal development, moral integrity, and charitable service. It provides a framework for members to build character, strengthen bonds of brotherhood, and contribute positively to their communities. Through rituals and fellowship, Freemasonry fosters values of respect, unity, and a commitment to lifelong learning.
Respect
Respect in the Lodge is fundamental to maintaining harmony and unity among members. It is a core value that encourages open-mindedness, fairness, and understanding. By treating each other with dignity, Freemasons create an environment where all voices are heard, fostering a strong sense of brotherhood and mutual trust within the Lodge.
Service
Service within the Lodge is a key tenet of Freemasonry, encouraging members to contribute selflessly to their communities and support those in need. By engaging in charitable acts and helping others, Freemasons embody the values of compassion and generosity, strengthening both the Lodge and the broader community they serve.
